A well polished act. We wanted for nothing and nothing went wrong. Thank you.
The pool and spa were both excellent. Lots of fitness classes offered.
In-house "strip club" advertised at front of hotel clearly visible to children and families and one manager was particularly rude. Not sure the management is sure which guest they wish to cater for. Not recommended for families.
friendly reception staff on arrival. restaurant staff on the first night were very good. leisure facilities
bar staff on tuesday 4th may wre unfriendly and rude!
A really great atmosphere in a hotel with good leisure facilities in a convenient location. Three nights B&B with Dinner thrown in on the first night, all for £217.50 per room. Unbeatable value. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Approached the Hotel from the Tyne Tunnel and entered Silverlink Park. Sat Nav then got us lost! Not your fault. We enjoyed our stay anyway. Thank you.
Lovely breakfast, and dining area to suit/accomodate a big group. Fab gym facilities.
We booked as a Spa weekend - unfortunately all the appointments were fully booked by local people/members so we travelled from London to Newcastle to sit around a pool with no treatments and the hotels location meant we had no option to explore the city - disappointing.
Swimming pool and Gym are the main asset of this hotel.
No fridge in the room... Room service is terrible and staff is not very helpful. Food is average and extremely expensive.
Staff very friendly, excellent breakfast, good value for money
Leisure facilities and Italian restaurant
The room it was nice
The staff did not on the local area this was a pain to us sorry to say but thank you
we loved it all. the young adult i came with is a looked after child with complex needs ( that often gives the apperence as her being rude) She had never stayed in a hotel before. the stay followed a visit to see JLS and she has now made a scrap book of the weekend. Unfortunately she now wants to go to more village hotels ...(i best stop doing this e-mail and get back to workto earn some money.. i think ive created a child who enjoys the finer things in life :-). ) can i just extend my thanks to all the staff who encouraged her to take part (even going to breakfast was hard for this child but with the smiley faces from staff she attended and ate in public for the first time. the female pool guard was gr8 too. we cnt thank u all enuff.
the bed was a little high but comfy
It was the best hotel I have ever come across the food was at very high stand ed the staff were will to help you enjoy your stay I give them a 100% across the hotel I will be telling my friends family and work mates about the hotel.
leisure facilities/on site catering-refreshments
Our room was very basic and refurbishing was been done on the same floor. No air conditioning and poor quality of breakfast
The restaurant. My family who live across the country meet up every couple month and stay in a local hotel in newcastle where my mum lives, my mum cannot walk very far so we like to stay in the hotel, have a meal in the restaurant and few drinks in the bar, my family had a really good time however because of the restaurant I am afraid myself and my family agree that we will not be staying in the village again. Although the restaurant staff were nice, the menu was unorganised and chaotic, we were lucky to be given a table as no priority was given to hotel customers and although we always expect to pay a bit more in a hotel restaurant all ten of us thought the prices were really expensive. Unfortunately the restaurant did spoil our night enough to not re-book for end of august.
The family room was very good and sufficiently spacious for a short stay. The hotels facilities were extensive and the spa/leisure provision was excellent.
Although the hotel is the Village Newcastle, it is actually located near Whitley Bay and some distance from the city. This does, however, offer certain advantages to a city centre site in that access is good, parking is plentiful and noise is minimal.
